Role: Video Engineer, Video Animator for 'Romans' and Sound Designer for 'Horses'.

Beasts of London was a large scale video installation piece at the Museum of London. Detailing the past of London and the animals who lived there, showcasing stories from the perspectives of the animals.

My main role was the Video Engineer alongside Nicholas Wong, we lead our own team of Assistant Video Engineers and we ourselves were under the direct guidance of the Lead Video Engineer.

Main tasks included projector positioning and installation, cabling and linking the 30+ projectors used, projector set-up and projection mapping. There were a total of 9 different rooms/sections to the installation. Projectors used ranged from 5ks to 12ks. Each section used a PC running Isadora as a server, with each graphics card handling 4 - 8 outputs.

Myself, Nicholas Wong and Eleisha Brand also assisted Toby Mcmanus with animating the section based on the Romans. We each assisted with animating up to 40 seconds of footage.

I also assisted in creating a sound design for the Horses section, editing and recording sound effects to go along with the music score composed by the Electronic Music Students at Guildhall School of Music & Drama.

Software used - AfterEffects, Photoshop, Mapping Matter, Isadora, Protools.
